Job Description:
Olin Chlor Alkali Products & Vinyls , a division of Olin Corporation, has an opening for a Mechanical Engineer located in McIntosh, AL .

Winchester's principal manufacturing facilities produce and distribute sporting ammunition, law enforcement ammunition, reloading components, small caliber military ammunition and components and industrial cartridges.
Essential Job Functions: Follow all plant operating and safety policies and procedures to make on-the-job decisions to permit safe and efficient operations of the area and the overall plant, according to specified and delegated authority.
Identify, initiate, coordinate and complete maintenance process improvement opportunities.
Develop Reliability-Centered maintenance processes and share with other sites.
Develop expertise in predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, laser alignment, tribology, etc.
Implement Maintenance Excellence initiatives, goals, and costs, to improve the overall effectiveness of the maintenance department.
Utilize analytical and engineering skills to identify and reduce / eliminate repeated equipment failures.
Work with Engineering on PSM implementation, i.
, work practices, design and repair standards, management of change, Mechanical Integrity, etc.
Perform FMEA's and RCFA's to ensure long term maintenance equipment problems are appropriately investigated with solutions implemented.
Assist with department budgeting and expenditure forecasting.
Facilitate positive change in the Maintenance organization by pro-actively driving department initiatives.
Act as a change agent in implementing cross-functional plant business objectives.
Review major purchases and capital projects to optimize life cycle costs.
Assist in tracking metrics and generating the monthly reports for area of responsibility.
Assist maintenance and operations personnel by troubleshooting and resolving equipment problems as necessary.
Provide input into capital budget to drive improved reliability.
Proactively identify development opportunities to build reliability expertise both personally and within department.
Provide guidance related rotating equipment reliability improvements (lubrication, precision maintenance, etc.
) Provide independent quality control of in-house and outside contract services.
Develop personal expertise in various maintenance/reliability functions and act as subject matter expert as necessary.
Strive to improve equipment uptime, quality and speed rates.
Strive to reduce maintenance cost and ensure the timely reporting of expenditures.
Provide leadership in the PM/PdM processes.
Develop and support Maintenance Excellence initiatives as required.
Achieve annual goals and objectives.
Promote and practice operational excellence, good safety and housekeeping.
Make suggestions according to the proper procedure for improvements in operation and safety.
Complete required training on a timely basis.
Perform all duties in alignment with Olin's quality policy and per the ISO9001/RC14001 standards and procedures.
Perform other duties as directed by management.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline from an accredited university.
5+ years of related experience in an industrial environment.
Certification in technical skills, a plus (vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication, etc.
Prior supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Experience working in a union environment is preferred.
Must meet the physical requirements including, but not limited to, climbing stairs and ladders.
Must be able to pass fit test for full and half face respirators.
Must be able to digest and disseminate written information and make numerical calculations sufficiently well to perform assigned general and specific duties and responsibilities.
Proactive problem-solving approach focused on action.
Knowledge of rotating equipment and design (ANSI pumps, centrifugal/reciprocating/liquid ring compressors, centrifuges, etc.
) Ability to organize and prioritize.
Must have basic computer skills including Word and Excel and SAP.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Must be HAZWOPER qualified or be able to be qualified.
Occasional travel required.
Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
Degree must be from a school that is accredited by an accrediting agency recognized by the Secretary of Education of the U.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
