Chemical Operator/ Technician

Chemical Operator- We are looking for exceptional candidates for our Chemical Operator positions at our McIntosh, AL manufacturing facility. Chemical Operators in our McIntosh Plant are responsible for the operation, basic maintenance, and troubleshooting of a highly automated state of the art system that produces sucralose (Splenda ). We use innovative technology to turn raw materials into distinctive, high quality ingredients for our customers. These ingredients add taste, texture, nutrition and increased functionality to products that millions of people around the world use or consume every day.

Ability to teach both technology concepts and operating procedures to other technicians

Ability to work in hot and cold temperatures, climb stairs, climb ladders, lift & carry 55 lbs, and perform other physical duties.

Must be able to work shift work, including weekends. Prior work in food manufacturing setting is preferred. A background in chemistry is a plus.

Background checks and drug/alcohol screenings will be conducted.

Education & Work Experience:

Associates degree or higher preferred with minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent

Three to five years related experience and/or training preferred.

Must be able to demonstrate basic mathematics, reading comprehension, and problem solving skills


Compensation is based on a Skill Block pay-for-knowledge system. Starting compensation is $25. 88 per hour / increasing to $28. 27per hour after successful completion of Level 1 Skill Block and increasing to $35. 35 after successful and required completion of a Level 3 Skill Block.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
