RegionalService Center Project Manager (1805214) ? McIntosh, Alabama
_Where the Chemistry Happens_
We are seeking a professional like you to
service the technical support needs for a linked regional site. You will be
responsible for providing project management support in assigned plant areas to
assure proper design, procurement, and construction of capital and expense
projects (usually <$15M) per regulatory and BASF standards.
_Formula For Success_
+ Leveragingyour educational background in Engineering and professional experience inproject management within a chemical manufacturing environment, you willdevelop project scopes, generate and/or obtain cost estimates, and prepareappropriation funding requests. Additionally, you will ensure appropriateproject safety reviews are completed as required, both before and afterapproval, and utilize applicable Value- Based Engineering practices (VBEs) tooptimize project scope and costs.
+ Successfullyengaging across the organization, you will partner with assigned projectmanufacturing representatives to execute projects from initial scoping andfunding, through detailed engineering and procurement, to startup and commissioning,and final documentation and closure.
+ As a leader ofproject teams, you will request and coordinate required process anddiscipline engineering and design resources, whether from the site orcorporate groups or outside engineering vendors, to prepare engineeringdesign deliverables and procure equipment, fabricated materials, andservices.
+ Demonstrating yourbreadth of knowledge and versatility, you will provide support as adiscipline Engineer for assigned projects and work with Procurement toperform procurement activities as required, including: preparingspecifications, issuing requisitions, evaluating bids, and dealing withvendors.
+ Your broadknowledge of chemical unit operations will be a valued asset as you ensurecompliance with all environmental, safety, and health requirements, andpromote a safe working environment for project execution and adhere tocurrent corporate and plant requirements for equipment/materialsspecifications and vendor preferences.
+ Your stronganalytical, problem-solving, and project management skills are essentialas we will rely on you to request necessary construction and commissioningresources from construction groups and others as required to install thescope of work. Additionally, you will monitor and support constructionactivities to ensure that projects are completed per the design deliverables,quality standards, and plant requirements, and that pre-startup safetyreviews are conducted.
+ Leaning on yourbusiness savvy, you will maintain SAP project data entries, monitorproject progress through scheduling and other tools, perform project statusreporting, and control spending through appropriate tracking, forecasting,and adjustments.
+ Your solidattention to detail and organizational skills will be a valued asset asyou will follow through to ensure that Operations achieves a successfulproject startup, and that any project-related action items are completed.You will also close projects per guidelines, and ensure properdocumentation of files, records, databases, and drawings to meetregulatory and BASF requirements.
