CTG's premier global manufacturing and advanced materials client located in McIntosh,AL has an immediate need for a ProcessEngineer with strong Project Management experience to join the Catalyst R&Dorganization to assist in making major improvements to the Inventory Investigationand Resolution process. Successfulcandidate must have experience working with process instrumentation. Provox DCS programming knowledge is a plus.
The main objective of this role is to supportthe Catalyst R&D organization by providing engineering in terms of processsafety, process design, project management and upkeep of equipment andtechnical documentation. With scientists and equipment operators as yourcustomer, you will be responsible for developing, overseeing construction,maintaining, and retrofitting small to mid-capital laboratory and pilot scaleequipment that is often one of a kind. One of the primary focuses of this roleis to provide prompt service to the R&D staff on all smaller, lower capitalprojects to ensure that equipment functionality and uptime is maximized.
Interface with EH&S and contribute tosafety reviews for new and modified equipment
Responsible for keeping technical drawingpackages up to date and in accordance with internal specifications andstandards
Work with scientists and operators to definescope and requirements for new equipment or existing equipment to be repurposed
Create piping and mechanical designs percustomer requirements and Company internal standards
Specify mechanical equipment andinstrumentation.
Work with vendors and place orders as necessary
Generate process flow diagrams, piping andinstrumentation diagrams, bill of materials, functional specification documents
Generate scope of work and request for proposaldocuments when dealing with internal or external contractors
Discover safer, innovative, leaner, and lessexpensive solutions to deploy in existing processes
With customer requirements in mind, generatemechanical part drawings in AutoCAD that will be provided to machine shops forconstruction of stainless steel, Inconel, and a variety of other metal parts
Define and keep project schedules on target andwithin budget.

EducationRequirement and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical engineeringdiscipline such as mechanical, chemical, or similar engineering field
3 years hands on and/or technical designexperience in a plant, pilot plant, or R&D setting
Strong CAD skills for P&ID and mechanicalpart drawings
Experience working with automation systems,PLCs, Provox DCS and data acquisition systems
Training in Six Sigma or Lean preferable
Knowledge of Kaizen, 5S Experience or trainingin statistical process control Ability to multitask and prioritize a wide rangeof projects from smaller engineering maintenance requests to capital projects
General understanding of power and circuitry,ranging from 12VDC to 480VAC Understanding of machining and welding feasibilityfor various types of alloys
Knowledge of chemical and temperaturecompatibility of components, specifically high temperature alloys
Experience with pressure vessels or vacuumsystems and associated safety equipment
Knowledge of combustion engines is a plusKnowledge and experience in fluid flow / mechanics / dynamics
Ability to interface with scientists, equipmentoperators, vendors and contractors
Critical path management/forward thinkingmindset
Pay Rate: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour DOE W-2 only (sorry no Corp to Corp)
Duration: 12 Months, extendable

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
