Where the Chemistry Happensâ€
We are seeking a professional like you to become part of the global regional services team. The group works directly with regional sites and with each employee by having a group of responsible sites assigned to them. This group works with sites to coordinate local projects with technology needs and works in a project management role to coordinate with the site and/or other groups in regional or global IT.
Information Systems Analyst II (1800275) – McIntosh, AL
The purpose of this job is primarily technical project management and coordination. This role will
participate in and potentially lead global and regional IT projects for their site(s). The incumbent will take a lead responsibility for their sites, both primary and secondary, which will include primarily McIntosh, Mobile, Theodore, and Huntsville, AL. Responsibilities will include meeting with the sites on a regular basis to determine technology needs, and to inform the sites of regional or global projects that will affect the sites in the near term.
Formula for Success: You Willâ€
- Meet with sites to identify technology needs through meetings with engineering and site leadership. Proactively coordinate technology needs with vendors and BASF global IT teams.
- Coordinate projects and vendors at sites including arrangement of a vendor to appear on site for a repair to complete roll-out of systems that require vendors and BASF personnel to address large-scale upgrades.
- Work on, and in some cases, lead global and regional teams to coordinate large-scale projects
- that affect regional sites. The goal is to make these projects work on-site timelines with minimum impact while adhering to all BASF policies and procedures for safety, security, and compliance.
- Perform troubleshooting and problem resolution by traveling to a site and collaborating with teams to perform root cause analysis and work with internal and external partners to implement a solution.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in Youâ€
- Bachelor's degree required, with at least 1 year of experience in a technical environment; OR High School diploma/Equivalent with at least 5 years of experience in a technical environment.
- Interest in project management is a plus.
- Awareness of technical areas such as LAN/WAN; Windows Workstations; Windows Servers; VMWARE virtual servers; and fiber-optic and structured cabling.
- General understanding of plant automation, firewalls; and other plant-related software (e.g. PINS, LIMS) preferred.
- Ability to work with technical experts to resolve issues.
- Must be resourceful and able to guide and direct contractors.
- Up to 25% travel required, mostly within the region.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
