Where the Chemistry Happensâ€
We are seeking an Environmental Specialist at the McIntosh, AL chemical manufacturing facility. This position involves direct support of all aspects of the air, water, and solid waste pollution control programs for the site.
Environmental, Health & Safety Specialist (1801498) – McIntosh, AL
Your key priorities will include managing regulatory compliance of the air, water, and solid waste pollution control programs. Specific duties involve overseeing air permit compliance, preparing air and SARA periodic reports, solid and hazardous waste profiling/manifesting, hazardous waste inspections, RCRA training, NPDES reporting and permitting, stormwater management, and SPCC management.

- Maintain and monitor compliance programs while optimizing the effectiveness and efficiency of the programs.
- Provide governance and oversight of the environmental program.
- Participate in technical reviews of process changes as necessary.
- Lead and/or participate in investigation and root cause analysis for accident/ incidents as needed.
- Participate in capital project reviews consistent with the level of environmental expertise required.
- Provide input to EHS Team Leader and interface with regulatory agencies regarding compliance issues.
- Actively participate within the EHS Community.

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in Youâ€
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Engineering or Science.
- Environmental disciplines regulatory knowledge.
- At least 5 years of experience in implementing environmental programs in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, database management) essential.
- Customer Focus, Collaborate for Achievement, Entrepreneurial Drive, Drive Sustainable Solutions, and Effective Communication skills are essential.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
